Here are the answers to some of your questions; The chair back, I was a little shy of the back coming together so I sewed in an extra piece of fabric at the top that covered the opening where the ties meet. The fabric used is a simple cotton twill that I purchased at Walmart. It is not as heavy as a drop cloth or cotton duck but easier to sew.
All my treasures over the summer, most of them I sold at the flea market, some went into storage and some went into the shed. The shed is back to its' packed look before I painted, but it will be cleaned out again for summer napping.
All of the arbors my brother and I built, I made the template for the ends using a piece of card stock and cut out with a jig saw. Have you seen the pergola on the back deck, we did the same only in larger scale and using pillars.
The pillows on most of my chairs outside are just regular throw pillows or bed pillows in vintage pillowcases. I do have to bring them in if it is going to rain, but I just store them in the dinningroom.
As for another flea market, I think I am going to pass this year, I much rather shop them. You are more than welcome to garage sale and flea market with me. I hope you have a great day. If I receive any more questions I will try to answer them asap. Enjoy your morning coffee!awal.nyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15446855739771971007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5924144300410449420.post-31704959674056141582011-04-10T15:06:32.822-04:002011-04-10T15:06:32.822-04:00Yes-Miss Marian is great. Very nice to meet you, Kaye. Many times I find myself erasing have my comment because I think I said too much.awal.nyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15446855739771971007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5924144300410449420.post-74855886129328827362011-04-09T19:44:15.983-04:002011-04-09T19:44:15.983-04:00How awesome is this chair, we could pull up or mat...How awesome is this chair, we could pull up or mates and just sit and coffee and wouldn't we just be looking great. I have bought a natural slipcover, washed it and I still think it is too natural color for me. So I used simple cotton twill from Walmart. I must say the fabric may not be as heavy but it sure sews easier, especially in those blasted arm creases and sewing around the end of the arms. I went through at least 2-3 needles. How about you? Belive it or not but I have two more wing backs to cover, a chair to do for my son, two chairs in the basement that I have to do something with. I will admit it, Hi my name is Alaina and I have a chair problem. BUT I'M NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! I like tables too but I have better control on that situation, and they are harder to hide, opps I mean store.awal.nyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15446855739771971007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5924144300410449420.post-49481281925014208802011-04-08T21:55:50.899-04:002011-04-08T21:55:50.899-04:00About time!
