New Chicks

I love spring; it's so full of promise and oh the possibilities.....  Kind of like these little gals.....

Are they not the most precious things you've seen lately???
Seriously, how can you not LOVE this face?

and this one.

These babes are Americauna chicks and will lay the blue/green eggs.  They're known as Easter Eggers.
I have 6 of these and 6 of another kind that lay dark brown eggs.

You may be wondering about my other chickens; well there was a little mishap with the neighbor's dogs.  I'm not going to go into details because I'm over that and I have moved on.

Thanks for staying with me; it's been a long tax season but now that it's over, I'll be blogging more on a regular basis.

How is your spring looking?

  1. P.S. Actually, using WP as an offensive weapon against military targets is against the Chemical Weapons Convention and the Convention on Certain Chemical Weapons, not the Geneva Conventions per se - although the GC DO ban the use of incendiary weapons in civilian areas or against civilian targets. But this just a 'the more you know' quibble which I only know because I just wrote an article on war crimes in videogames.
